Before today, I had never decoupaged anything inwards my life. I bought a modest affair of Mod Podge lastly December, but pretty much only stared at it longingly for the by 8 months, waiting for it to speak to me together with say me what to do. Because I had no idea.

I had a laid of wooden hangers that didn't quite jibe inwards amongst my awesome dollar store plastic hangers, together with they were only begging for something fancy. So, I embarked on my maiden Mod Podge voyage together with decoupaged the fiddling fellas.

I decided to mix it upward a fiddling bit, too.

So, I decoupaged a few of the hangers amongst some wrapping newspaper (just on the forepart side) together with painted the sides together with dorsum amongst leftover pigment from my favorite bluish dresser.

Then, I spray painted the others gold.

Now, apparently I'm no Mod Podge expert, this beingness my start projection together with all. But, turns out decoupaging is easy.

Supplies:

1. Wooden Hangers (Great bargain on these here.)

2. Painter's Tape (to comprehend the metallic parts if yous spray pigment some of the hangers)

3. Spray Paint (I used Rustoleum Rust-Oleum Metallic Gold)

4. Wrapping newspaper (both were from Target)

5. Acrylic pigment (I had planned to purpose those fiddling acrylics, but reverted dorsum to the bluish dresser paint.)

6. Paint brush or foam brush

7. Mod Podge (I used the matte finish.)

Step 1:

I used my exacto knife to cutting a slice of wrapping newspaper to live slightly larger than the size of my hanger.

In retrospect, it powerfulness live easier only to gum an entire slice of newspaper on together with cut/sand it off afterwards.

Step 2:

I applied a sparse coat of the Mod Podge amongst my paintbrush. I've heard it's meliorate to purpose a sponge brush, but my arts and crafts cupboard only couldn't deliver.
