Best of the Month: June 2013

Summer is my favorite fourth dimension of the year. I'm fairly certainly I danced out of the womb on June 13th, 1983 alongside a paintbrush inward my manus too said 'I'm obsessed alongside summer, Ma.' Or something similar that. I can't quite explicate why summertime does such magical things for me, but it in all likelihood has something to exercise alongside flip flops, slushies, pools, too beach vacations. 

For most of our relationship, Jesse too I stimulate got taken our yearly opor-garai roughly the fourth dimension of my birthday. And nosotros normally terminate upward at a beach. For the yesteryear iii years nosotros hadn't taken a vacation, equally nosotros had gotten sidetracked alongside renovating our house, working, too life inward general. So, when nosotros finally decided to larn somewhere this twelvemonth to celebrate my 30th birthday, I could barely stimulate got the excitement. We simply drove a few hours to Myrtle Beach, but I'm a daughter who does NOT postulate an exotic place to stimulate got the best fourth dimension ever. Set me upward on the beach alongside an umbrella, book, too mutual coldness drink, too I'm happy equally tin terminate be.

We spent most of the calendar week laying on the beach, flopping roughly inward the sea similar toddlers, too prying ourselves away from the hotel inward the evenings to swallow delicious seafood dinners...and an occasional fried pickle.

On the in conclusion nighttime there, I discovered the best Mai Tai ever, too fifty-fifty managed to drag Jesse into a nearby Anthropologie for a few minutes.
